We have created a working environment that allows you to be yourself at work and be treated fairly, on the basis of your merits, abilities and potential. We live by core values, all of which operate to help us deliver company goals.

What you'll do:

We are looking for a Senior Frontend Software Engineer with roughly 4+ years of experience who is comfortable talking about high-level product concepts as well as deep technical details. We want someone who is excited about modern tech, code quality and scalable engineering.

Our engineering teams own the entire product development lifecycle from idea inception and development, through to analysing success. So, expect to spend most of your time writing code. Additionally, around 25% of your time will be: architecture planning, talking to stakeholders and analysing your data metrics for success.

As a senior engineer, we will expect you to play a big role in helping your team be as effective as possible. We want you to lead the technology decisions within the team, as well as developing our tech ecosystem across Seedrs. We also value the importance of coaching and developing our junior members, so we will expect you to act as a guide and role model.

Our ideal engineer would have strong experience in our primary frontend stack:

  • React
  • NextJs

On the backend we primarily use:

  • Ruby on Rails
  • NodeJS

However, technology moves fast. If you believe that you can adapt and learn quickly, we will consider you without this direct experience.

Candidates should be able to show and discuss some projects they have worked on. We want to see a deep understanding of the customer as well as technical prowess. If you have experience with AWS and Serverless as well as an interest in fintech - that's a bonus!

Salary and benefits:

  • Competitive salary
  • Employee share options
  • £20 each month to invest through the platform
  • 25 days annual leave which increases with tenure
  • The ability to buy or sell holiday allowance
  • £30 per month towards Virgin Active or ClassPass membership
  • Healthcare Cash Plan
  • A discounted Smarterly ISA account
  • Professional development - training opportunities and lunch & learns
  • Enhanced maternity/paternity/adoption pay
  • 4% pension contribution
  • Company offsites and team socials
  • Cheese day
  • Flexible working
  • Great offices with free fruit, coffee and Friday drinks!

Note: Remote option available for this role but you must be based in the UK.
