We’re looking for a Finance Analyst / Associate to join our Finance Director, Financial Controller, Finance Associate and Operations Associate in our Finance team. This team forms part of a wider Legal, Finance and Admin team headed up by our COO.

As is typical of a company like Seedrs, this role is quite varied and will give you exposure to all areas of the business. The role will incorporate bookkeeping, interpretation of data, credit control, management information, financial crime, compliance and day-to-day business support. You’ll also have the opportunity to work alongside our Compliance and Operations teams on financial crime and operational matters.

Some examples of the work you’ll be involved with:

  • Bookkeeping; processing sales invoices, purchase invoices, bank payments and receipts
  • Assisting in the preparation of monthly management accounts and yearly statutory accounts
  • Expense processing
  • Providing credit control of overdue accounts
  • Reconciliation of bank accounts, credit cards, trade debtors and creditors
  • Liaising with clients/suppliers on finance-related enquiries
  • Provide regular and ad-hoc assistance to the Finance team on other matters, including interpretation of financial data

Our ideal candidate will:

  • Have some prior experience of bookkeeping using Access or similar accounting software
  • Knowledge of accounting processes - if you are a qualified accountant you are probably overqualified for this role
  • Have excellent attention to detail and strong organisational skills
  • Be process driven
  • Have intermediate level Excel skills
  • Use their initiative
  • Have an interest in Fintech, and an enthusiasm for changing the landscape of alternative finance
