The Role

Reporting into the Chief Marketing Officer, the successful candidate will lead all PR & Communications activities at Seedrs. From setting the PR strategy, to managing corporate communications, to actively leading high-profile campaigns for startups that raise funds on Seedrs. This person will be an ambitious self-starter, not afraid to roll up their sleeves, and will be comfortable managing a team.

What we’re looking for:

Someone with 4-7 years’ experience in PR & Communications, ideally with hands on fintech experience. In-house experience is ideal, but relevant agency experience will be considered for the right candidate.

You have the ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership.

  • You’re assertive, confident, detail oriented, highly organised and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with a sense of urgency.
  • Able to analyse and react to situations that evolve rapidly, with tact and diplomacy.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Great leadership and management skills.
  • Knowledge of topical & current affairs.
  • Experience in measuring PR success and reporting.
  • You have experience working in financial services and/or tech companies, giving you the ability to get people excited about, and simplify, complex narratives.

What you’ll do:

This is an exciting role with huge scope for personal and professional growth. The PR team at Seedrs may be small, but it’s certainly mighty, and this person will be the leader of the function reporting directly into the CMO and working closely with Seedrs’ Executive Team.

  • Manage all corporate communications for Seedrs.
  • Develop and execute an exciting brand PR & communications strategy.
  • Directly line manage the Seedrs Press Officer.
  • Develop interesting news hooks to land positive top tier coverage for the brand.
  • Drafting and placing op-ed and thought leadership content.
  • Setting up on & off the record media briefings with key media.
  • International PR support (Europe) and brand building in line with new regulations.
  • Crisis management as and when applicable, extended to portfolio when needed.
  • Management of any external suppliers and agencies that are engaged.
  • Maintain positive media relations through regular meetings and contact.
  • Host successful press events, with the support from the Press Officer.
  • Lead exciting PR campaigns for high profile startups that raise funds with Seedrs.
